Happy Easter!!!! Here in Chile, school is out for two days to celebrate Easter. Its called La Semana Santa (The Holy Week) and they celebrate the three days of Christ´s resurection. Everybody watches Bible movies. and the Catholics can't eat meat the whole week. We had a good Easter lunch and this morning I made us a Easter breakfast with pancakes and fruit.
This week went well. We found a lot of new people to teach. And now we need to take care of the people we have and to search to find which ones really want to progress and be baptized. Yesterday was awesome because we went searching for less actives (the ward directory is full of them) and we found some new families to teach. And on the way we contacted an old lady sitting by herself outside in her yard. Read this, she is 97 years old! Can you believe it 97 years old!? So cool. While we were with her, I thought for a moment that I was in a movie or dream, with the way she was looking at us-the wayward glances. We sang her a song and talked about the importance of baptism. And she accepted a baptismal date. We then asked her, why do you want to be baptized, and she told us, because I want to live with God. She is very intelligent and can read perfectly!! without glasses, and even small print. We were absolutely amazed. I want her to be baptized so very badly.
